Some new news!!

Well, Hunter got discharged from the hospital on Saturday at around 1:00 and Tuesday I gave him an enima and he pooped. This morning, I took the girls to school and Rich called me and told me that he had a VERY FULL diaper. He pooped by himself...yeah hunter!!


Next set of business, Rich and I found out yesterday that we are pregnant. It was a total surprise. Needless to say we are both really excited. Tara and Brian found out this exact day two years ago that they were pregnant with Joel and then had him on Christmas eve!! I am going to the Dr. today for the blood test, but 3 positive tests is probably sufficient for my knowledge...ha ha ha!! Just wanted everyone to know about the newest addition to the Cummins Clan!!

Today's update

So, this morning the nurse told me that Hunter needed to get up out of bed and walk around...WELL he wasn't having that, so we put him in a wagon and rolled him around the unit about 3 times and then he decided that he wanted to go in the play room, so I let him go in the playroom and he walked around in there. He was then ready to leave the playroom, and I told him the only way that I was going to let him go back to his room is if he walked around the unit...BY HIMSELF...so he did it...3 TIMES!!! I was so proud of him.

He is doing VERY well. I think that he is going to get to eat tomorrow, so that is a very good thing. It makes us one day closer to getting to come home. YEAH!!!

Final update for the day

Hunter came through his surgery with flying colors...like usual! Dr. Smith initially had said that we would be home in 7-10 days and today he said that he would be surprised if we didn't come home in 3 days, and that makes momma VERY HAPPY!! My wonderful hubby was here for the surgery and spent some time with us before hand...and mom called a few times to check up...so we feel very supported. Nothing really big to report other than what I have just told you!! I know that it is because of all the prayers that he recovered so quickly. Thank you all for praying!!

Hunter update

Well, right now, he is in surgery...nothing really to report. He was in good spirits...kind-of when we left him...I told him that he has no reason to be afraid cuz Jesus is always with him and he said that he was scared, "But I know mommy...I can go swimming when I am all done"!! How cute is that??? More to come later!

Hunter's next adventure

So, we went to see Dr. Smith on Monday and we went ahead and scheduled his surgery to reverse his colostomy. It will be April 15th with an admit on the 14th at Lutheran. I don't know how long he is going to be in the hospital for this surgery but I am not anticipation shorter than 5 days. He is super excited for this surgery because he knows that after his bag is gone...he can go swimming and he is soooooooo looking forward to that. Please pray with his that this will be his last surgery. He has been through so much and I would love to have a reprieve from all of this for a couple of years.

I will be working with mom and dad three days a week starting Monday and then going back after Hunter has recovered, so we are going to meet with a daycare in Bryan today...so I am praying that my Spirit is at ease to do this. It is hard for me to leave my child with some that isn't a member of the family...so please pray with me. I know that it is something pretty small, but to me it is pretty big. I will be right across the street if something happens, but...I don't know...nevermind.

Ok, I guess that is it for right now!
