Update

There really isn't anything to update on. Hunter is doing well, has a cold right now and batteling asthma. I have been giving him breathing treatments when he is gasping for air. His next surgery is June 19th in Cincy. Just found out that we have to be there the day before for a bowel prep, which just means that they have to drip a prep medication to clean out his bowels for his surgery. He is talking much more clearly lately and is speaking in fuller sentences. He is going to be the class clown I fear...he is just so stinking funny.

Well, wedding plans are well on their way. We have the place booked, the caterer taken care of, just ordered the invitations, and I already have all of my things. I am looking for wedding favors and bridesmaids gifts, so if anyone has any suggestions I would be more than happy to hear them.

Things are going smashingly with Rich and the girls. They spent Memorial Day weekend with my family and we had a great time. Didn't get to see everyone as long as we wouls have liked, but it was fun anyways!!

Thank you all for your continued prayers for Hunter. They are felt and appreciated.

Here's the latest

Well, today is the 22nd and on the 20th, I was dismissed from employment at the bank. Now please don't be too upset for me...it is coming at a good time. Hunter is scheduled for another surgery on June 19th and I will be gone for 2 weeks and then have to go back 4 weeks after that for a check-up. I am not upset at all...in fact God has already begun to bless me. I get to stay home and take care of my son, take care of the house since mom and dad are so busy...I will work 1-2 days a week for mom and dad at the office when they can't be there or just to help mom out...I will get to have a good time planning our wedding and honeymoon...it really is a good thing!!

Hunter is going ok. We have been working through a blockage for about 3 weeks and I think that it is finally starting to come out. I believe when he starts going to school...that he might be the class clown!! He is most hysteical kid that I know. He just says the funniest things at the weirest times.

Please do continue to pray for him though. He has lost almost 2 pounds and it is very hard for him to gain weight, so that worries me, but I am hoping this new procedure they are going to do in June will help him pack on the pounds.

Thanks for all you do and pray,
Danielle and Hunter

Home update

We have beeen home for almost two weeks and it has been a rough 2 weeks. While Hunter was in the hospital he received codine and anesthesia and both cause constipation, so we have been working through a bowel blockage since then. I have decided to take him off of the solution that he was on in Cincy(the glycerin) since it was causing him to vomit amongst other things. We will starting the new one(castile soap) as soon as we get it.

Other than that, he is recovering VERY well from his surgery...almost back to normal. He still doesn't like to run, but we are working on it.

I do have some very exciting news! RICH AND I GOT ENGAGED THIS WEEKEND!! I know that you are all thinking, "but you have your wedding planned already! How did you just get engaged?" Well the explaination for that is, we asked my parents about 2 months ago, but were waiting for the right time to buy the ring. So, he offically asked me on Saturday and the permanent date is the 11th of October. I am so excited. We met with the caterer last night and finalized all the details, so I am pretty excited that all I have left to do it find a photographer.

There you go,
Danielle and Hunter

WELL LOOK AT JESUS

I walked into the room today and the nurse told me that Dr. Young had been in this morning and wrote our orders. I said for tomorrow so that he didn't have to come in right, and she said no...for today!! I was in total shock!! The physical therapy team is going to come look at him to make sure that he is doing good and then off we go home. I totally wasn't prepared for this all. My cousin Brian and his wife Tara have allowed me to stay at their house here in Indy while we are here and I didn't pack up anything thinking that we were going home until tomorrow, so I am going to have to stop by their hosue on my way home to get my stuff packed.

I have emailed Cincy every other day to get a date for his surgery down there. It will either be May 19th or May 27th. I don't know for sure what date down there, yet. We will be there for 7-14 days. They are going to reverse his cecostomy button, repair his, for lack of a better term, butt hole(it has a bunch of tissue coming from it that causes alot of discomfort), and put a small port in his belly button to do his enema's through. They have to make an appendix since he doesn't have one. That is the reason for the long hospital stay.

Thank you all for your prayers and love.

update

He has been sitting up in bed most of the day. I tried to get him to walk and he took 2 steps, but with great pain and he has decided that he didn't want to do it anymore, so I am trying to get him to let me work just with his legs. I'm starting to get a little frustrated...please pray that he will cooperate.

Thanks

Better than hoped

I walked into the room this morning and Hunter was sitting up in his bed and the nurse said that he slept through the night. She said that Dr. Young came and looked at him this morning and said that he looked wonderful. He wants Hunter later today to take a walk to the play room to start strecthing it out. I don't know that he is too excited for that, but I will try and get him to go play!!

He had 3 nurses sit with him throughout the night so that he didn't try and get off his back. He hasn't had any pain meds sine 4:30 this morning and it is now 10:30 and they had been giving it to him every 4 hours, so I am very pleased with that.

Dr. Young also said that he could have an enema (there mom) this evening, so I am pretty excited about that...wait...how twisted does that sound that I am excited that he can have an enema (there again mom) but I wasn't expecting him to get to have one until we got home cuz I wasnt expecting him to eat until right before we left.

I am really encouraged. Thank you all for all of your prayers.

I don't really have anything else right now, so if something more comes up, I will put that in also.
