Surgery day

Well, he came through his surgery with flying colors. It was in fact that there was a bundle of nerves that were tethered, not the actual spinal cord itself like we had intially thought. He went into sugery at 8:45 and Dr. Young made the incision at 9:11 and we got the page that he was done at 10:36. Dr. Young said that Hunter will have no problems with playing sports or walking as he grows up and that is very exciting for us since all he has been talking about is being on the baseball team...the girls are playing ball and that is all that he can talk about!!

Mom and I just got back from lunch and he was out like a light and dad told us that he ate 4 packages of crackers and a whole sippie cup of grape juice and can eat whatever he wants and that is a total miracle. The last time he had this surgery, he couldn't eat for 2 days, so I thoughouly thrilled! Rich was so sweet and came down to be with me this morning and then mom and dad were here when we got to the room.

Thank you all for your prayers...if you have questions, please ask. God has blessed me with a wonderful child, boyfriend(soon to be fiance), mom and dad, and family who loves God and prays all the time for this miraculous little boy!!

Thank you all,
Danielle, Hunter, Rich, Chloe, Claire, Cherie, and Carl

p.s. From the joke board..."Mommy, where does Jesus live? He lives in your heart and in Heaven. No he doesn't mommy! Ok honey, then where does Jesus live? Duh mommy!! He lives in the chicken eggs!!" (Hunter Douglas Yarger)

Danielle and Hunter,
I am so glad to hear the Hunter is doing good. I have been keeping my mom up to date of all the goings on with you guys. You are in our thoughts and prayers. And God is gonna work it all out with work and the time you need off. He loves you and knows what you need! I love you so much!!! Give Hunter a kiss from the Washburn's and give you family hugs and kisses from us too, and let them know how much we love them! =)
